My decorative illustration work takes popular motifs such as skulls and hearts and reworks them as intricate, hand-drawn patterns rendered in pen and ink.
I am always interested in new projects and would be very happy to discuss any ideas within this field. Please let me know what you have in mind using the form on my Contact Page and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

T-shirt Design
T-shirt Design
My T-shirt designs are varied in content and style. Some are hand-drawn, some are created solely on the computer and others combine both traditional and digital techniques. They include humorous themes, optical illusions and decorative pieces – while some are purely word based, using different styles of typography.
A selection of my T-shirts are available to buy online, in a wide choice of styles, at both of these locations:
Also, take a look at my DECORATIVE ILLUSTRATION gallery which includes a series of detailed skull patterns created for a new clothing company called ‘Jiminy’s’.

10 Things To Do With A Ball
10 Things To Do With A Ball
This is a simple, colourful book with the intention of encouraging activity in pre-school children. It shows the antics of a dog, cat and mouse as they play a mixture of games with a ball. This is the first in a proposed series of ’10 Things To Do…’ books.
The digital illustrations were created using Adobe Illustrator without preliminary sketches. For more childrens’ illustration work in this style please take a look at my NOISEY LITTLE TERRORS gallery
Other similar work can also be seen in my DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION gallery

I worked closely with my son Cameron to help set-up his design practice Liquidesign. Together we designed and produced a number of furniture and lighting products for the Liqui brand as well as creating several trade stands and an unusual warehouse office for the company KeepCup.
I continue to work with Cameron on individual projects.
You can see more of what Liqui creates at: www.liquidesign.co.uk
Also, take a look at my PATTERN DESIGN gallery which includes more detailed images of the patterns I designed for Liqui’s ‘Edge’ range and the special edition Willow Pattern ‘Splice’ lampshade.

With my Digital Art I explore such things as optical effects and the emotional qualities of colour. The strong flat colours translate well and create vibrant prints.
If you’re interested in prints of my digital art please let me know sizes and whether you would prefer canvas or paper using the form on my Contact Page and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Pattern Design
Pattern Design
I was formally trained in textile design and have always been interested in pattern and decorative design – from tribal costume to William Morris wallpaper – I’m fascinated by repetition and decoration.
Working with my son Cameron, a designer/maker, I created a number of distinctive patterns that were used on Liquidesign’s ‘Edge” range of eco-friendly cardboard furniture and lighting. Also for Liqui was a modern interpretation of the Willow Pattern which can be seen on the inside of the special edition ‘Splice’ lampshade. I designed more subdued patterns to be used on Flute’s office furniture.

Noisy Little Terrors
Noisy Little Terrors
Noisy Little Terrors are a mixed bunch of mini monsters – each with it’s own distinctive noise. Developed for a range of childrens’ T-shirts and clothing they could also be worn by adults wishing to unleash that inner noisy child!
Using strong shapes and bright, flat colours they were created digitally in Adobe Illustrator without preliminary sketches.
They are available to buy online at:
