Fry's Family
Fry’s Family first appeared as a weekly cartoon in the Telegraph Magazine. It was later picked up by Medici who published a series of 12 greetings cards.
The odd-ball characters are based on both real family members and purely fictitious creations – but who’s to know which is which?
Originally they were hand-drawn with an ink outline and then coloured using watercolour pencil. As I continue to delve deep into the psyches of my peculiar relatives I have adapted with the times and now colour them digitally – having scanned the finished ink drawings.
